Digital forensic professionals can have careers working in computer network security, as well as investigation of crimes related to computers and networks. These professionals are in high demand, as the number of computer-related crimes is on the rise. Computers are used in virtually all types of crimes. Sometimes they play a major part in the commission of those crimes, as in financial fraud and identity theft, and at other times they serve as record-keepers of conversations and files.

In the Computer Security & Forensics program, students will gain an education in the law, computer and network technology, and investigative procedures. They will fully understand the intricacies of "white-collar crime", and learn how to combine their knowledge of the law and computers to investigate it.
