Educational programs at paralegal schools in Nevada prepare students to enter into a career as a paralegal or legal assistant. Paralegals provide general support to attorneys and perform many of the same duties. They’re not licensed to practice law and therefore, cannot charge people for their services, present in court, or set fees. Paralegals typically engage in preparation of legal documents, client interface, and briefing attorneys. Degree programs can be as short as six months for certificate or diploma, or as long as two-years for associate’s degrees. The occupation is expected to grow significantly over the next 7-10 years.
