Legal Studies in Hawaii

Legal studies schools in Hawaii offer paralegal and legal assistant two-year associate’s degrees. Paralegal programs are usually offered through a community college. The classes are usually offered at night or online because the majority of students have full or part-time jobs. The major courses include classes such as law office management, legal terminology, civil and criminal court procedures, legal research and writing and litigation. Paralegals do many of the same duties that attorneys do but are prohibited from giving legal advice, charging for their services and presenting in court. Many programs include internships that provide excellent real world experience.
