Preparation for a career in a law office often starts with training from one of these legal assistant schools in Florida. As part of an attorney’s team, you’ll be expected to fill a variety of roles, from drafting legal documents to conducting interviews. Of course, legal assistants can’t present cases in court, charge for their fees – legal assistant’s fees are billed along with an attorney’s – or give legal advice. There are two courses to becoming a legal assistant. An associate’s degree covers legal terminology, law office procedure, and other basic concepts, while a bachelor’s degree includes more in-depth classes in various types of law, such as real estate and family law.
