Program Description: A major responsibility of both the government and the private sector is to assure the safety of information, both during transmission and while in storage, and to keep secure the critical information infrastructure. The principal methods of securing cyberspace include securing computers and computer networks, conducting investigations into cybercrimes, and forensic analysis of digital devices. A multidisciplinary approach integrating criminology, criminal justice, economic crime and computer science will prepare students for entry level positions in the fields of cybercrime investigation and computer forensics, or the security of computers and computer networks by protecting the information they store and transmit.
