UC's Bachelor of Science Program in Cybersecurity and Information Assurance consists of an innovative curriculum which includes two highly-specialized concentrations, development of essential skills in investigation and forensic technologies, and a strong foundation in liberal arts. This program will prepare you for career opportunities in:

• Law enforcement
• Government intelligence services
• Banking and finance
• Homeland security

The BS in Cybersecurity and Information Assurance program offers two distinct areas of focus:

• Cybercrime Investigations and Forensics
• Information Assurance.

The Bachelor of Science in Cybersecurity and Information Assurance Program at UC includes:

• a strong, diverse liberal arts background
• the development of necessary skills for investigators and technologists
• a solid focus on writing, critical thinking, mathematics, statistics, as well as other disciplines

Program Description:

A major responsibility of both the government and the private sector is to assure the safety of information, both during transmission and while in storage, and to keep secure the critical information infrastructure. The principal methods of securing cyberspace include securing computers and computer networks, conducting investigations into cybercrimes, and forensic analysis of digital devices.

A multidisciplinary approach integrating criminology, criminal justice, economic crime and computer science will prepare students for entry level positions in the fields of cybercrime investigation and computer forensics, or the security of computers and computer networks by protecting the information they store and transmit.
