Homeland Security and Public Safety (BSHSPS) with a Concentration in Criminal Justice

For full time students it will take on average nine semesters to complete a homeland security and public safety (BSHSPS) with a concentration in criminal justice bachelors of science degree. Graduation requires a minimum of 125 semester credit hours. We will review all credits from accredited institutions for transferability.

Homeland Security and Public Safety (BSHSPS) with No Declared Minor or Concentration

The Bachelor of Science in Homeland Security and Public Safety will prepare you for a variety of careers in public safety, including law enforcement, fire sciences and intelligence analysis.

Students carrying a full course load complete the program in an average of nine semesters and will possess the academic knowledge and skills needed to pursue entry-level positions in such areas as domestic and international terrorism, intelligence gathering and surveillance, public event planning, emergency management, incident command system, cyber crime, computer forensics, violence in the workplace, criminal investigation, evidence forensics, hazardous material management and fire service.

In order to graduate, you will need to complete at least 125 semester credit hours. Credits earned at other accredited schools will be considered for transferability.
