Grantham University offers a Bachelor of Arts degree in criminal justice (CJ) with a specialty in Homeland Security (CJ-HS): This degree requires 121 credit hours of course work to be completed. It is ideal for the student who wishes to learn more about the theoretical and practical strategies of implementing and analyzing the criminal justice field based on his/her needs.

The objective of our criminal justice (CJ) undergraduate program is to present the student with formal and specialized instruction for current CJ professionals and prospective CJ students. This program will prepare students for a variety of positions in law enforcement and will enable experienced personnel to expand their knowledge and skills. This degree program prepares students for entry-level careers in criminal justice as well as for promotions for officers and military service members. This program will allow students to understand and explore the historic foundations of criminal justice, its agencies and processes, as well as present-day applications in the real world.

Electives

The Homeland Security electives qualify students for work in border protection and emergency preparedness. Graduates may be qualified to work in such area as intelligence, terrorism prevention and analysis, emergency and disaster planning (FEMA), and border security.
