Our Paralegal Studies program has its roots in English common law, and has been changed to fit in with the everchanging courts, legislation, and proceedings. You\'ll quickly be prepared to start grasping legal concepts and engage in legal analysis activities. Paralegals who want to train for important, legal cases like appeals as well as other such high court decisions, must essentially acquire these skills. Paralegals will help draft and organize legal documents and other attorney assistant jobs. The Paralegal Studies degree program at Fremont College is approved by the American Bar Association (ABA).
Early classes in the program are designed to build the core fundamentals in our students. You\'ll be introduced to the court system, the legal industry, and also the synthesis of paralegals and lawyers in the workplace, for example. The program includes the study of ethics, client privacy guidelines, and legal lawyer and paralegal practices as essential course content. This program focuses exclusively on ethics and its fundamentals, re-iterating these throughout the course of the program.
The Paralegal Program includes Civil and Criminal procedure coursework, and Legal coursework in Ethics.
There are a growing number of careers available for paralegals. It is one of the fastest-growing careers of the decade, according to the Bureau of Labor statistics.
The functions and job duties of a paralegal will vary from student to student and from law firm to law firm. While it\'s true that paralegals work directly under the supervision of an attorney, they are also able to help lighten the caseloads of attorneys. Paralegals will commonly have to be on top of their research and writing. Paralegals are often in charge of case management and organization, court filing or preparing trial exhibits, along with drawing up mortgage documents, divorce papers and various other legal documents. Fremont College has general education courses in Paralegal Studies, which is a great class for paralegal education and preparation for any career in law. Success in the legal field requires very strong communication, organization, and English grammar and writing skills. Students of Fremont are trained with an aim to make them proficient in general education in addition to helping them get into successful careers as researchers, technologists and collaborators.
Paralegal Studies students can immediately contribute in their new law careers thanks to Fremont\'s English course.
