An associate’s, bachelor’s, or master’s degree from criminal justice schools in South Dakota can have many applications, from police work, to security management for private corporations. During your training in this field, you’ll learn the core concepts of criminal justice education, including criminal behavior, ethics, leadership, society and the law, criminal investigations, psychology, police, and the U.S. court system. These and other topics are covered in an associate’s degree program. A bachelor’s degree will include other subjects, such as forensic psychology, American criminal justice, and criminology. These degrees can also be specialized for a given field, such as homeland security, corrections, or security management. Jobs in the criminal justice arena are expected to increase by 10%- 22%, with qualified and trained applicants having the most success in finding employment.
