At criminal investigation schools in Arizona, you’ll learn what it takes to function properly as a criminal investigator. The goals of these programs include teaching courtroom procedures, giving the student a thorough understanding of the American criminal justice system – including the police, the court system, and the corrections departments – and demonstrating the basic principles of criminal investigation techniques. Classes in the associate’s degree program, for example, focus on real-life skills, such as crime scene photography, collecting and handling evidence, hazardous crime scenes and crime scene safety, and fingerprinting. An introduction into the principles of forensic science is also included.
