Crime scene technician schools in Illinois offer equip students for a career in crime scene analysis. Crime scene technician programs are becoming increasingly popular due to their portrayal on successful television shows such as CSI and Criminal Minds. Although these shows are not exactly an accurate picture of the true nature of the job, they have brought the career field to the forefront. Students typically take a heavy load of science courses such as chemistry, biology, physics and anatomy.
