Corrections schools in North Dakota offer students the opportunity to study courses related to the correctional field in preparation for a long-term career in corrections. Inmate security, counseling, management, and administration are various career paths students may choose when graduating with a degree in corrections from a North Dakota school. A two-year associate’s, four-year bachelor’s, and a more extensive six-year master’s degree are all available to students who select corrections as their major. A heavy course load in psychology and criminal justice is emphasized. Students learn the ins and outs of the criminal justice system, juvenile detention centers, and weapons management while pursuing their education in this field.
